Vitria Senior DevOps Engineer

Description:

At Vitria, you will be a critical member of a growing team working on one of the industry’s fastest-growing trends – AIOps – work with state-of-the-art open-source and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Druid, Kafka), AI, and machine learning. At Vitria, you will be expected to spend roughly 50% of your time setting-up and operating highly automatic and self-healing systems, and spend the other 50% of your time on development tasks such as new features, scaling, and automation. Specific tasks include:

  • Design, test, and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.
  • Design and develop automation and testing tools across the entire development stack
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot source code management and deployment issues.
  • Install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers, HDFS, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes environments.
  • Create and maintain documentation on configuration, troubleshooting, design, etc.
  • Perform security audits and assist with hardening servers and systems against attacks.

Skill Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration/deployment technologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks like Chef, Puppet, and Fabric.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, Kubernetes, and container environments.
  • Previous experience with HDFS, Spark, Kafka is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database systems and security.
  • Programming and development experience in Python, etc.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and best practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Vitria Data Scientist

Description:

At Vitria, you will use your creativity and expertise to apply your machine learning experience to our VIA AIOps product, improving our customers’ operational processes and services. In this role you will:

  • Understand our customers’ business problems, industry context, and data sources as well as how our VIA AIOps product addresses them
  • Work closely with our customer facing teams, product managers, and engineers to drive analytics based product improvements in our VIA AIOps product
  • Build, tune, and evaluate models for real-time time-series analysis, the detection and correlation of anomalies across disparate data sets, etc.
  • Incorporate human-generated labels from our customers into your model development
  • Propose and evaluate various models to address the needs of our customers and quantify the performance

    Skill Required:

    • 3+ years of professional experience with data science and end to end data product development including problem definition, solution formulation, model building, productionizing, and delivering measurable impact
    • Experience with data science and machine learning/statistical techniques, including regression, classification, ensemble methods, reinforcement learning, analysis of time-series data, and designing and measuring A/B tests
    • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into actionable recommendations
    • Experience with unsupervised learning, Python, R, Spark ML library and similar technologies
    • Domain experience with data networks (data from national telecommunications networks, private data centers, etc.) a plus
    • BS Degree required, MS is desirable in Statistics, Math, Operations Research, Advanced Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or other related area of study

    Vitria AIOps Project Manager

    Description:

    We’re looking for project managers with a passion to make clients successful while landing challenging big data analytics projects on-time, on-budget. In this role, you will manage all aspects of successful solution delivery including the time, schedules, resourcing, reporting, and best practice improvement of AIOps project delivery.

    Skill Required:

    Location preference: Menlo Park, CA or Denver, CO. Strong candidates outside of these regions with CSP and Telecom experience are encouraged to apply. Requires 5+ years of successful consulting project management experience preferably in service-centric solution verticals such as Telecom, CSPs, Manufacturing Service and Repair or similar situations in which customer service and top tier operational performance and execution is a priority for the business.

    We’re configuring, deploying, and scaling real-time analytic applications so your project management skills and the ability to get the most out of a diverse team of big-data streaming, data science, and Dev/ops deployment resources will be key.

    We’re looking for positive, outgoing attitudes, enthusiastic and charismatic customer-facing project management skillsets with good judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, BS or equivalent, MBA a plus.

    Vitria Professional Services Solution Developer

    Description:

    Vitria Solution Developers have crossover skills which allow them to focus on user interface and presentation layer application development, but also to overlap with systems and data engineers on small, fluid, and highly agile teams. They work directly with our customers and partners, providing technical leadership in the design, hands-on development, and deployment of AIOps solutions using VIA AIOps products. Solution Developers will also enjoy working to ensure the successful adoption and deployment of our solutions while mentoring customers, running consulting workshops or facilitating technical architecture and whiteboard discussions. The Solution Developer role may also be called upon to support customer evaluations in a billable capacity, prototyping, and providing project management oversite.

    Skill Required:

    A Solution Developer should have the following skillsets:

    • Strong HTML5 skills – advanced knowledge of HTML and Cascading Stylesheets.
    • Strong knowledge of JavaScript as a scripting language and more than passing familiarity with industry-standard libraries such as jQuery.
    • Strong familiarity with browser factors, limitations, and debugging tools.
    • Comfortable with graphic editing software such as Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Fireworks and extracting graphical elements for use within UI.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and wireframe (design to customer solution) – while illustrating knowledge of layout best practices and user experience.
    • Demonstrate fundamental skills with SQL and relational databases – ability to get to and extract data using simple to intermediate query patterns.
    • Ability to collaborate and co-develop in a team setting.
    • Ability to wireframe to elicit feedback and help guide the design process.

    During customers’ engagements, the Sr. Architect will provide expertise in all stages of the full life-cycle development process for big-data AIOps applications. This includes assisting in designing and implementing analytic solutions that interface with customers’ business, as well as providing guidance in developing systems for performance, scale, and fault-tolerant operation.

    Skill Required:

    For this position we are looking for a senior software professional with excellent customer interaction expertise, effective presentation skills, and hands-experience in most of the following:

    • Solution architecture and deployment experience with Big Data technologies like Spark, HDFS, Hive, Kafka, etc.
    • Implementation of medium to large-scale distributed applications based on server-side software platforms like J2EE application servers, containers, and Kubernetes.
