1994: Vitria Technology, Incorporated is founded and transforms the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) space by releasing the first platform capable of EAI, Business Process Management (BPM), and Business-to-Business integration (B2Bi).
1997: Vitria pioneers the use of BPM and introduces BusinessWare, becoming the first vendor to offer an off-the-shelf middleware solution, creating the foundation for a business process-oriented Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and event-driven applications.
1999: Vitria goes public in September and is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol VITR.
2000: Vitria introduces the combination of EAI, BPM, and B2Bi in a single integration platform.
2001: Vitria pioneers innovative functionality for Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and Business Vocabulary Management (BVM).
2002: Vitria creates a new category of products called “Collaborative Applications” pushing the integration market to new frontiers.
2003: BusinessWare 4, Vitria’s next generation SOA-based BPM and integration platform, wins Business Integration Journal’s Product of the Year.
2004: Vitria unveils order management solutions for the telecommunications and supply chain industries, HIPAA compliance solutions for the health care industry, and Straight Through Processing (STP) and Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) solutions for the financial industry.
2005: Vitria offers a new breed of process-centric applications to solve complex business processes.
2006: Vitria launches Smart Gateway for Healthcare, a Business Process Application (BPA) that allows health care organizations to transform their business model to dramatically lower costs, increase productivity, and grow their partner base.
2007: Vitria is taken private to fully invest in a visionary strategy that will result in the delivery of the world’s first Operational Intelligence Suite.
2008: Vitria launches M3O, the industry’s first fully-integrated Web 2.0-based, Operational Intelligence suite, enabling business analysts to directly model, manage, monitor, and optimize their business processes.
2009: Vitria is featured in Forbes.com. M3O is labeled as the “future of BPM” by Gartner Vice-President Janelle Hill at the Spring Gartner BPM Conference. Vitria is named as the “2009 BPM Company to Watch” by Intelligent Enterprise.
2010: Vitria announces the first Operational Intelligence for Customer Care Solution, a unified platform to monitor and manage critical service processes in real time and safeguard the customers’ experience.
2011: Vitria releases M3O 3.2 which includes a 10x speed increase and flexibility to handle multiple use cases including cyber security, service assurance, SLA management and customer experience management. Vitria announces the first Operational Intelligence for Service Assurance Solution.
