Product Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering and sales.  He/she will ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Define (Realtime Analytics / Big Data in Motion / Cloud)  strategy and roadmap
  • Oversee (Usability and User Experience)
  • Define and deliver PRDs with prioritized features
  • Plan product testing with Engineering and QA leads
  • Manage internal communications for new development and releases
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager
  • Experience with BAM and BI tools is desired
  • Experience with Usability design and methodology
  • Experience with CEP
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.  MBA, MCS or similar graduate degree preferred in process, data-intensive and analytical fields
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past

Sales Development Representative (SDR) Job Description

This individual is responsible for identifying new qualified opportunities in target accounts for Vitria’s Operational Intelligence (OI) solution for the Field. This is a new role for the organization. The ideal candidate must be an active participant in a test & refine methodology that will identify Sales Development Best Practices for Vitria.

The SDR will manage lead activity and coordinate with project managers to refine processes, produce Sales Qualified Leads, and secure appointments for the Field. An implicit responsibility of the SDR is to conduct business dealings in a way that creates a superior prospect experience that will set the stage for these appointments, as well as future sales for Vitria. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and inbound leads to appointments.
    • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and obtain business requirements. Work closely with Field rep to determine a strategic approach.
    • Disseminate opportunities to appropriate Field rep, educating rep as necessary about the opportunity.
  • Qualify leads generated by sales-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Expertise in uncovering a prospect’s pain/need and the ability to present complex solutions.
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections.
  • Develop superior customer service relationships with prospects.
  • Follow prescribed processes; work closely with Sales Development project managers.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and be a flexible team player.
  • Consistently document qualification information and update Lead Rating and prospect interaction in Salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead pass.
  • Consistently achieve lead quota of sales qualified leads to help strengthen territory pipeline.
  • Produce reports as necessary.

Prerequisites

  • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible follow-up and cold calling in to multiple executive levels within an organization; familiarity with Business Activity Monitoring  & Business Process Management space a plus
  • A minimum of 3-5 years successful experience where reactive and proactive calling were the primary forms of Sales Development. Skills required:
    • Pre-call planning
    • Opportunity qualification and objection handling
    • Call structure and control
    • Time and territory management
  • Proven track record achieving measurable Sales Development goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales environment; flexible team player
  • Experience and success working within a lead quota and commission structure
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • The highest level of integrity
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Sales training and Salesforce.com experience a plus

Complex Event Processing (CEP) Architect

The successful candidate will develop innovative enterprise software products using Java, C++, and other current technologies, as well as own multiple functional modules in CEP, transformation, and query areas.  The successful candidate will effectively select the right methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and actively explore and adopt the latest technologies to improve our product for better usability, functionality, performance, and scalability. The successful candidate should also be able to lead and mentor our offshore team.

Qualifications:

  • BS (MS / PhD preferred) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years experience in Java or C++ design and development for enterprise server software.
  • Extensive experience in implementing CEP technology and/or database servers, with hands-on experience in in-memory data processing supporting high performance.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, parsers, and compilers.
  • Experience in BI Analytics, Rule Systems, and Metadata Modeling is a plus.
  • Attention to details is a must.
  • Experience with enterprise software engineering practices, including agile development.

Senior User Experience (UX) Developer

The successful candidate will design highly-usable user interfaces for our enterprise software products. The successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate and interact with stakeholders, product managers, representative users, and UI developers.  The successful candidate should be able to provide constructive feedback for existing UIs and find ways to make them better.  To arrive at the best design, the successful candidate must be able to quickly generate design alternatives and iteratively refine storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, and live prototypes.  The successful candidate should have a passion for creating interfaces that are usable for end-users.  The successful candidate should be detail-oriented and demonstrate a sense of aesthetic judgment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a creative design related area.
