Vitria Wins Product Of The Year And Best EAI Solution In Business Integration Journal Awards
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 22, 2003 - Vitria (Nasdaq: VITR),
a leading provider of business process integration solutions, outshone competitors
in three categories of the 2003 Business Integration Journal (formerly eAI Journal)
Awards, underscoring the power of Vitria’s business process integration
offerings. Vitria swept away the competition winning two of the five categories,
including ‘Product of the Year’ for its industry-leading BusinessWare
platform. Vitria also received first place for ‘Best Enterprise Application
Integration (EAI) Solution’ and second place for ‘Best eBusiness
Solution’. In addition, Vitria was inducted into the Business Integration
Journal Hall of Fame for best ever performing vendors of the prestigious annual
awards.
Judged by a blue-ribbon panel of top industry analysts, the judging procedures
for selection of the winners of the Business Integration Journal Awards were
thorough and objective. Judges looked for clear technology and business benefits
of the submitted solutions, with a focus on both internal integration, including
legacy, enterprise application, and wireless integration, and external integration,
including supply chain optimization and net markets. In the 'Product of the
Year' category, technological innovation and its business application were especially
considered.
“Vitria achieved great success in this year's Business Integration Journal
awards,” said Tony Brown, editor-in-chief, Business Integration Journal.
“Taking the hotly contested Product of the Year as well as first place
for Best EAI Solution at Bell Canada is a tremendous achievement. Vitria was
also placed second for Best e-Business Solution, rounding off one of the best
performances of any vendor in our annual awards program to date.”
“The Business Integration Journal Awards 2003 recognition validates the
integrity of the BusinessWare platform and provides customers with an industry
barometer from which to base their selection decisions regarding business process
integration solutions,” said Dale Skeen, chief technology officer, Vitria.
“Providing our customers with the platform and solutions they need to
run their business and compete successfully is at the heart of our company.”
About The Awards
Established in 1999, the Business Integration Journal Awards recognize excellence
in enterprise integration technologies. As in previous years, the judging panel
of the 2003 awards consisted of top industry analysts who looked for products
and solutions that, in their opinion, demonstrated innovation, maturity, and
market impact in 2002. Judges were free to use their expertise and market knowledge,
as well as the information provided on the award submission forms. More at www.bijonline.com/awards2003.
