Generali Vienna Wins European Business Integration Award 2006
Working with Vitria Technology, Inc., Austrian Insurance Group Wins Coveted Business Award 2006.

The award was presented to Generali Vienna at the European Integration Forum 2006 on April 4, 2006 for the company's ability to dramatically reduce processing costs and increase overall productivity.
During the reception of the European Business Integration Forum 2006, the Generali Vienna team overpowered its competition to win this year's award for their implementation of a business process infrastructure for their Vienna Insurance System (VIS). Using Vitria BusinessWare®, the company has been able to dramatically reduce the time it takes to process insurance policies, enabling the organization to significantly lower its processing costs.
Prior to using BusinessWare, Generali Vienna processed insurance application forms manually, which took several days to finalize before the company could send the insurance policies to its customers. Now Generali is able to quickly process applications without wasting valuable time and is delivering the final insurance policy to its customers in record time.
Each participating company was judged on the following criteria: vision and goals, return on investment, architecture, process orientation and integration and content and functionality.
